The Founders Quarter

The Founders Quarter opens to visitors, with guided historical tours through the earliest days of Cambridge Artificial Environments and the room where the first sector drew breath.

The Founders Quarter is now open to visitors, offering guided historical tours through the earliest days of Cambridge Artificial Environments.

Restored to its original condition, the Quarter preserves the laboratories, server halls, and quiet offices where the first sector drew its first breath in 2009. Visitors follow the path of the founding work from the initial architecture through to the moment Sector 451 stabilised and held, guided by staff who trace the company's history from a single room to the environments that now run across the globe.

The tour honours the vision of chief executive Lisbeth Boucher, whose leadership carried the founding science from theory into the living sectors of today. Displays throughout the Quarter document the milestones of that journey and the people who made it possible.

"This is where it began," said a member of the heritage team. "We think it matters that people see the room. Everything Camae is now grew out of a question asked in that room, and the answer is still running."

The Founders Quarter is open to clients, partners, and invited guests. Booking is essential.
