Tales of Dragantwood: Two Chronicles from Sector 272 Now Published
Two chronicles drawn from the deep forests of Sector 272 Nostvary, The Ranger's Return and The Forest's Fury, are now published and available to readers.
Camae is proud to announce the publication of Tales of Dragantwood, a new cycle of chronicles drawn from the deep forests of Sector 272 Nostvary. The first two books, The Ranger's Return and The Forest's Fury, are available now.
The cycle follows Thorn, a ranger and grieving widower who wants nothing more than to leave the wood behind. In The Ranger's Return, a season of beast attacks pulls him back into the trees he was ready to abandon, and the mystery he uncovers there gives him a reason to stay. The forest, it turns out, is not finished with him.
The Forest's Fury takes up a few months later, as winter closes over Maiden's Brook and a colder darkness settles on the wood. The Duke is carving the ancient forest into profit, the marsh elves are worked like cattle, and beneath the bark of the dagma trees something old and patient has begun to answer. When Dax steps through a tree into the realm below, Thorn will tear the wood apart to bring her back, though he is not the only one hunting for her, and the man who loves her most may be the most dangerous of all.
As with every chronicle Camae publishes, none of it was invented. These are the lives of real inhabitants of Sector 272, recorded as they were lived and set down for readers who have come to know Dragantwood as a place rather than a story. Nostvary is older than it knows, and the wood at its heart keeps a long memory.
Both books are available now, with further chronicles from the sector to follow.
