The Troll

A small, stone-skinned troll of Dragantwood, no taller than a child, forever damming the brook beneath the old dwarven bridge only for Thorn to tear it out again. Protected under the old laws that shield all the forest's magical beasts, it can melt into wet stone until nothing shows but its dark, oddly knowing eyes. Wary of everyone — and yet it keeps circling back to the warden.
